Srinagar, October 9, 2025:Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday chaired a high-level security review meeting in Jammu and Kashmir, along with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and senior officials from the Army, Jammu & Kashmir Police, and central intelligence agencies. The meeting focused on evaluating the prevailing security scenario and accelerating coordinated efforts to eliminate terrorism from the Union Territory.
During the meeting, Amit Shah reaffirmed the Centre’s unwavering commitment to cripple the terror ecosystem and ensure lasting peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir. “Our security forces have full freedom to crush any attempt to threaten peace and security in the region,” the Home Minister asserted, while instructing officials to further intensify alertness, coordination, and operational synergy among all agencies.
The review also covered anti-infiltration measures, protection of civilians, and security of ongoing developmental projects. Shah emphasized that the Union Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir will continue to empower security forces with modern technology and intelligence support.
The Home Minister lauded the efforts of the Army, CAPFs, and J&K Police for their successful operations in recent months and directed that proactive surveillance and counter-terror drives must continue with greater intensity. He reiterated that the government remains committed to ensuring a secure and progressive Jammu and Kashmir where peace and prosperity go hand in hand.
