Amid Global Tensions, Kashmir Youth Learn Leadership & Democracy at Pulwama Youth Parliament Government Degree College Pulwama organised a Youth Parliament under Viksit Bharat 2047 programme in which a District Level Competition was held. The Yuva Connect programme theme: 50 Years of Emergency-Lessons for Indian Democracy taught the youth many things about the Indian Parliament and Constitution. The government officials shared their knowledge with the youth. and how India will be developed in future, said Anesa, a youth icon in Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir. The youth were also made aware of empowerment, entrepreneurship and other schemes. Under Viksit Bharat, a lot many things are taking shape, the youth were made aware of these, Anisa said. Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament organised by GDC Pulwama is helping us build our portfolio and to learn so many things. How to debate, how to perform well, how to speak nicely, said Moiz Aijaz, a student, and how to speak in a Parliamentary way. In this organised event, a lot of youth gathered. The topic was Emergency. It is a good thing that the youth of Kashmir are getting involved in this. I am very excited for this prograame. All the youth in the country who are being educated, when they move forward, the country will automatically move forward. The youth should involve themselves in these programmes at the district, state and national level. Kashmiri youth are very intelligent. They just need a direction, said a woman in Pulwama event. If someone shows you the way, whether you want to see it or not depends on those youth. The aim of developed India is that when hundred years are completed, India should become a better country, the woman added. SSP Pulwama Tanushree said, the Viksit Bharat programme in GDC Pulwama was carried out in two patrts. One was Youth connect programme in which the youth icons of Pulwama who have made a successful career, the children got a chance to interact with them. They got an opportunity to put in their questions. In the second part, a youth Parliament was enacted to teach children how a Parliament functions in a country. and the youth participated in discussions and deliberations, said the SSP from Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir.
