Kashmir , April 25, 2025: Billionaire Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Ltd., announced on Thursday, April 24, 2025, that the Reliance Foundation’s Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai will provide free treatment to all those injured in the horrific Pahalgam terror attack. The attack, which claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baisaran Valley on April 22, 2025, has been widely condemned, and Ambani’s gesture underscores a strong stand against terrorism.
In a statement, Ambani described terrorism as “an enemy of humanity” and expressed solidarity with the victims and their families. “The barbaric attack in Pahalgam has shaken us all. At Reliance Foundation, we are committed to supporting the injured by offering comprehensive medical care at no cost,” he said. The Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, known for its state-of-the-art facilities, will provide specialized treatment, including surgeries and rehabilitation, to ensure the recovery of those affected.
The Pahalgam attack, attributed to The Resistance Front, has sparked outrage across India, prompting heightened security measures and evacuation efforts for stranded tourists. Ambani’s announcement aligns with a wave of national support for the victims, with the Reliance Foundation coordinating with authorities to facilitate the transfer of injured individuals to Mumbai. The hospital, located in South Mumbai, is equipped to handle complex trauma cases, making it a vital resource for those requiring urgent care.
The initiative has been widely praised on social media, with posts highlighting Ambani’s commitment to social responsibility during a national crisis. The Reliance Foundation has a history of supporting disaster relief efforts, and this move reinforces its role in addressing humanitarian challenges. As Jammu and Kashmir grapples with the aftermath of the attack, Ambani’s offer provides critical support to victims, emphasising unity and compassion in the face of terror.
