No Pilgrim Died in Rail Pathri Landslide: SSP Ganderbal
Srinagar, July 17 — The annual Shri Amarnath Yatra has crossed the 2.50 lakh mark, reaffirming its position as one of the largest religious pilgrimages in India. Pilgrims from across the country continue to undertake the sacred journey to the holy Amarnath cave shrine amidst tight security and robust arrangements made by the administration.
Addressing recent reports, SSP Ganderbal, Sandeep Gupta, clarified that no pilgrim lost their life in the recent landslide incident at Rail Pathri. He confirmed that all yatris are safe and assured that the administration remains fully alert to ensure their safety and well-being.
The smooth conduct of the yatra, despite challenging weather conditions in parts of the region, highlights the efficiency of the coordinated efforts between security forces, local administration, and various service agencies involved in the pilgrimage.
