“Bam Bam Bhole!” With these reverent chants, a devoted pilgrim began his sacred journey from Jammu toward the holy Amarnath cave. From the very first step, he observed how the facilities had significantly improved compared to previous years. He praised the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, crediting him for the enhanced infrastructure and the seamless arrangements made for this year’s yatra. The pilgrim highlighted how both the Indian Army and the Jammu & Kashmir Police were working in close coordination, ensuring the safety of every devotee. At no point during the journey did he or his fellow pilgrims feel vulnerable or unprotected. The security forces maintained a vigilant presence on both sides of the route, providing full protection and instilling confidence in every traveler. He shared that the atmosphere among the pilgrims was filled with joy and spiritual excitement. Locals, too, extended their full cooperation with kindness and respect. The vibrant energy of the yatra was evident everywhere—from the camps to the holy paths. For him, it was even more special, as he would be among the first to receive darshan of Baba Barfani this year. The spiritual setting and natural beauty added to the divinity of the moment. Despite concerns following recent terror threats, the number of pilgrims had not diminished. In fact, he pointed out that his train ticket didn’t get confirmed until the last day, which clearly showed that there were no mass cancellations—devotees continued to arrive in large numbers with unwavering faith and determination. Having undertaken the Amarnath Yatra for nine consecutive years, this was his tenth. For him, it was not merely a ritual but a deep connection with Baba Amarnath. He had never asked for anything—believing himself to be a child of the Lord, he accepted whatever blessings came his way. His journey was driven by complete trust and devotion. He also acknowledged the vital role of India’s armed forces in making the yatra a success. According to him, their presence was the backbone of the pilgrimage’s safety. He prayed for their strength and morale to remain high and extended heartfelt gratitude to them for their unwavering service. In his words, the Amarnath Yatra is more than a pilgrimage—it is a symbol of national unity, religious faith, and collective strength. It reflects the spirit of India, where devotion meets discipline, and security ensures sanctity. He concluded with a heartfelt wish: that India continues to progress and shine on the world stage, and that the name of his country and its culture echoes across the globe. “Jai Hind. Jai Baba Barfani.”
