Amarnath Yatra 2026: SDRF & Mountain Rescue Teams Ready for Safe Pilgrimage 🏔️🙏
DGP J&K Nalin Prabhat in Srinagar congratulated the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) & Mountain Rescue Teams (MRT) for serving humanity and jointly working in rescue missions. Every year, mountain rescue teams play a vital role. This journey holds deep spiritual significance, and we would like your performance to be of the same top-notch quality this year as it has been in the past, the DGP added.
Director SDRF Imtiyaz Hussain said, as you can see DGP J&K Nalin Prabhat flagged off the J&K Police, SDRF, MRT, NDRF, BSF, SSP and CRPF teams shortly ahaed of the commencement of the 2026 Shri Amarnath ji Yatra.
Just like every year, our teams will be available this year as well to assist Amarnath Yatra devotees and will be ready to provide them with all kinds of facilities.
As you all know, this is a truly great and sacred pilgrimage for our country; the J&K Police plays a very important role in it, alongside the other security forces. The Mountain Rescue Teams are a specially trained force. We have put in extra effort for the MRT team and augmented their equipments. We are trying to provide better facilities to the MRT teams so that they can provide better services to the yatris.
