The Amarnath pilgrimage has been underway for about 15 days, and around 3.50 lakh people from across the country have paid obeisance to Baba Amarnath, stated the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha. Personnel from all departments of the Jammu & Kashmir administration, the J&K Police, various security forces, and the Shrine Board have collectively ensured much better arrangements for the pilgrimage this time.The feedback being received from travelers is also encouraging, LG said. I feel that the Yatra is proceeding smoothly by the grace of Baba Amarnath. The economy of Jammu and Kashmir will also benefit significantly from this visit. In particular, the appeal made by the Prime Minister to purchase local products has led to a significant increase in the sales of handloom and handicraft items. I believe that in the days to come, this pilgrimage will be viewed as a historic and memorable one, LG said.
