AI Will Transform Classrooms: LG Manoj Sinha’s Vision at Lawrence Public School Anniversary The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha extended his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the students, teachers and their parents on the 40th anniversary of Lawrence Public School. On this occasion, he also paid tribute to the founder of the school, late Shakuntala Joshi ji. I believe that her life, dignity and values will continue to guide this school and its new generations in the future, LG said. I believe that Lawrence Public School has made a significant contribution in shaping the future makers of many generations in line with its motto of inspiring minds, building futures. And today, spreading the values of education, service and dedication for the last 40 years, this school is not just an institution but is present before us all as a living heritage. I can imagine that in these 40 years, countless teachers of Lawrence Public School would have made their valuable contribution in shaping a new destiny for the students, making them capable and energetic enough to contribute to nation building apart from their personal achievements. I would like to congratulate all those teachers on my behalf, said the Lieutenant Governor. Lawrence Public School is continuously transforming towards future learning with special emphasis on digital learning and value-based education. It is very important to keep pace with the rapid changes taking place in different sectors. The Prime Minister of India gave us a very valuable gift in the form of National Education Policy. The National Education Policy is a guide in this direction. This policy has given special emphasis to skills like scientific temper, problem solving so that new inventions and new ideas can be born in the children, LG said. If we focus on these skills in the classrooms, it means that by freeing school education from all its shackles, we are giving freedom to build the future generation. I know that Lawrence Public School has seen many changes in the last 40 years, but the rapid pace of change in the entire world in the last twenty years is greater than the progress of the last thousand years. I would also like to tell all the students and teachers that Artificial Intelligence is going to bring about a new revolution in the classroom in the future. While teachers will be able to mentor each student by understanding their passion and aptitude through data analysis, students will also be able to gain support in real-time problem-solving skills through new artificial intelligence tools. I would like to heartily congratulate all the women who have been honoured today., LG said. In the convocations of the universities I attend, roughly more than 75% of the gold medals are being won by our girls, LG observed. Our girls won 15 out of 18 gold medals in the convocation of SKUAST Jammu. So these new records are definitely being made by our girls. I believe that in a developed India, this half of the population will probably contribute more than men. You all know that Vande Mataram has completed 150 years. The population of Jammu Kashmir is only 1 percent of the country’s population, but you will be happy to know that Jammu Kashmir has been at the first place in the entire country in the Vande Mataram programme, LG shared.
