BARAMULLA, JUNE 21: In a bid to ensure the highest standards of healthcare services, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore, S.A Raina conducted a late-night surprise inspection of Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Sopore.
The visit was aimed to assess the functionality and readiness of the hospital’s facilities, staff responsiveness, and overall service delivery.
During the inspection, the ADC thoroughly reviewed various departments, including the emergency ward, inpatient and outpatient services and the pharmacy.
He interacted with the on-duty medical and support staff, inquiring about their working conditions, availability of essential medicines, and overall preparedness to handle emergencies. He also engaged with patients and their attendants to gather feedback on the quality of care provided at the hospital.
The inspection highlighted several key areas for improvement, including staffing levels, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. Immediate directives were issued to address the identified issues and ensure that all necessary resources are in place to provide optimal healthcare services to the community.
ADC Sopore emphasized the importance of regular and rigorous monitoring to uphold healthcare standards and expressed his commitment to making continuous improvements in the healthcare infrastructure and services in the region.
In addition to the hospital inspection, ADC Sopore also inspected several irrigation pump stations in the subdivision, and directed the concerned officials to ensure their proper functioning and maintenance, crucial for the agricultural season.
