Accommodation in Baltal base camps increased for SANJY 2023; J&K LG Sinha visits Baltal route

The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha reviewed the 2023 Amarnath yatra arrangements from Baltal route. LG impressed upon the officials to ensure communication services on yatra route and night air services. He further directed for fitting tented accommodations with fire extinguishing equipment. LG inspected the ongoing work at DRDO’s hospital and other facilities for the pilgrims. He was informed that the hospital will be made functional by June 17th. He also reviewed the lodging facilities. This year in 2023, there has been a marked improvement in the holding capacities of the camps set up at Manigam, Baltal and Brarimarg. At Manigam from 930 holding capacity in SANJY 2022 it has risen to 1460 in SANJY 2023. In Baltal from 17200 capacity it has been increased to 18400 in SANJY 2023. And in Brarimarg from the previous 200 to now 400 holding capacity at the camp set up here in SANJY 2023.
