Kashmir, November 29,2025- In a strong assurance aimed at uplifting vulnerable communities, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday stated that he will personally ensure every poor and affected family receives a secure roof over their heads. Addressing citizens during a public outreach programme, the LG emphasised that the administration is fully committed to providing affordable housing, social welfare support, disaster-relief rehabilitation, poverty alleviation measures, rural development assistance, and inclusive growth initiatives across Jammu & Kashmir. These efforts, he said, are part of a broader mission to ensure dignity, safety, and stability for families who have long struggled without proper shelter.
LG Sinha highlighted that multiple government schemes are already underway to fast-track the construction of homes for economically weaker sections. He reaffirmed that transparency, accountability, and timely delivery remain top priorities. “No deserving family will be left behind,” he stressed, adding that the administration is working closely with district authorities to identify, verify, and assist all houseless and affected households.
Residents welcomed the announcement, expressing hope that the renewed focus on housing will bring much-needed relief to thousands across the UT. The LG’s commitment marks another major step toward building a more equitable and development-driven Jammu & Kashmir.
