Shri Amarnath Yatra, an annual Hindu pilgrimage to the sacred Amarnath Cave in Kashmir where a naturally occurring ice Shivlinga is worshipped is memorable for the Yatris for many reasons this year. They were impressed by the improved road conditions on the Baltal route, which made the journey much safer and more convenient, especially during the rainy season. The typically steep and slippery slopes had been significantly improved. Another pilgrim added that they arrived for darshan of Baba around 7:30 or 8:00 AM. The pilgrims were well cared for with ample food and drink provided throughout the journey by Shiv Bhakts who have been coming here and arranging Langars. Also commended the support from the Indian Army, which provided a sense of security and assistance. The serenity and peace of mind they experienced after having darshan of Baba were incomparable. They highly recommend this pilgrimage to anyone seeking spiritual fulfilment and a unique experience.
