An Inter-District Provincial Level Cricket Competition for women was held in Kulgam district of Jammu & Kashmir. We have come here for under-17 Tournament in Kulgam, said female players participating in the tournament. Many girls have come from various districts to play cricket in Kulgam. This is a very good encouraging opportunity from the administration. The DC Kulgam showed his appreciation towards the girl players. We were welcomed very nicely said the girls. The girls said they are also very fond of playing cricket. The girls said they also want an opportunity to play. They are interested to play cricket at the international level. We want to take the name of Kashmir high, girls siad. The Kulgam officials said it is their ongoing effort that maximum children participate in sports so that they stay away from social evils like drugs. So that they stay healthy and this is also an opportunity to get exposure to Kulgam. The children will also see how big tournaments are organised. So that they also have this passion.
