Bhaderwah Hotel Project to Boost Tourism and Employment

Bhaderwah’s tourism sector is expected to receive a significant boost with the development of a new hotel near the New Bus Stand by the Municipal Committee. The project aims to strengthen the town’s hospitality infrastructure, attract more tourists, and generate employment opportunities for local residents. According to the project details, ₹4.35 crore has already been spent under the first Detailed Project Report (DPR), while a second DPR worth ₹3 crore has been submitted for finishing and renovation works. The total project cost is estimated to reach ₹7–8 crore. The hotel’s strategic location is expected to make it convenient for tourists visiting Bhaderwah, a destination known for its scenic beauty, pleasant climate, and natural attractions. Local stakeholders believe that the successful operation of the hotel by an experienced hospitality brand could further improve tourism services and promote the region as a tourist destination. The project is also expected to create jobs and support local businesses. However, the final decision regarding its management, whether through outsourcing or direct operation by the municipality, will be taken after completion. Overall, the hotel project could become an important step towards strengthening Bhaderwah’s tourism economy and creating new opportunities for the local community.
