Kashmir, September 29,2026-The IIT Jammu 7th Convocation conferred 420 degrees on graduating students, marking a proud milestone for the institute and for higher education in Jammu and Kashmir. The degrees included 209 B.Tech, 124 M.Tech, 23 M.Sc. and 64 Ph.D. awards.

The ceremony recognised graduates across undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. B.Tech graduates formed the largest group with 209 degrees, followed by 124 M.Tech, 23 M.Sc. and 64 Ph.D. degrees.
Each number represents years of effort. For undergraduates, it means four years of coursework, laboratories and projects. For postgraduate students, it reflects deeper specialisation. For the 64 doctoral scholars, it marks long research journeys that often demand the most patience and persistence.
