Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha attended the Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha in Raebareli on September 16, 2026, in the presence of revered spiritual preacher Pandit Pradeep Mishra Ji. Describing the divine teachings of Lord Shiva as a sacred pilgrimage for seekers of truth, the Lieutenant Governor said spiritual gatherings can rekindle and purify the inner spiritual energy of society. The Lieutenant Governor expressed his gratitude to Uttar Pradesh Minister Shri Manoj Kumar Pandey for organising the spiritual gathering. He observed that just as gold is refined by fire, holy company helps renew and purify the spiritual energy within our souls. Highlighting the vision of universal welfare, LG said Sanatana Dharma has always emphasised unity and harmony. Referring to the recent BRICS Summit in New Delhi, he spoke of the ancient Indian philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, meaning “the world is one family”, as a message for peace and collective welfare. “What our ancestors envisioned millennia ago is now being embraced by nations worldwide, as they step forward to adopt this philosophy for peace and harmony,” the Lieutenant Governor said. The Lieutenant Governor also stressed the importance of protecting social unity and called upon saints and enlightened members of society to contribute towards comprehensive development. He said India’s cultural traditions nurture diversity, harmony and human welfare. Expressing confidence in the country’s future, the Lieutenant Governor said the spirit of unity can help India realise its development aspirations and regain its ancient glory. He also emphasised the important role of saints and enlightened members of society in guiding the nation.
