Baramulla, July 31,2026-The grand finale of Varmul Gindo 3.0, a major grassroots sports initiative jointly organized by the Indian Army’s Dagger Division and the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony in Baramulla, celebrating youth participation and sporting excellence.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including General Officer Commanding (GOC) Baramulla Major General Manoj Joshi and Baramulla MLA Javid Hasan Beg, who congratulated the participants and organizers for the successful conduct of the tournament.
Varmul Gindo 3.0 witnessed the participation of nearly 3,000 players from different tehsils across Baramulla district, making it one of the region’s largest community sports events. Competitors showcased their talent in more than 20 sports disciplines, promoting fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among the youth.
Addressing the gathering, officials highlighted the importance of sports in empowering young people, fostering unity, and encouraging a healthy lifestyle. They also appreciated the collaborative efforts of the Indian Army and the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council in providing a platform for aspiring athletes to display their skills.
