LG Manoj Sinha addresses 77th State-Level Mega Job Fair in Srinagar, highlights youth empowerment and employment

Srinagar, July 28,2026- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday addressed the 77th State-Level Mega Job Fair held at Amar Singh College, Srinagar, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to creating meaningful employment opportunities and empowering the youth of the Union Territory.

Speaking at the event, the Lieutenant Governor described the Mega Job Fair as a significant initiative aimed at bridging the gap between talented job seekers and industry requirements. He said the programme serves as a crucial platform for connecting the aspirations of Jammu and Kashmir’s youth with emerging employment opportunities across various sectors.

LG Manoj Sinha emphasised that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir are the architects of India’s future and play a pivotal role in shaping a prosperous, innovative and self-reliant nation. He said the government is focused on equipping young people with industry-relevant skills, enhancing employability and fostering entrepreneurship to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving economy.

Highlighting the administration’s vision for a developed Jammu and Kashmir, the Lieutenant Governor said sustained efforts are being made to create a skilled, confident and self-reliant workforce through employment initiatives, skill development programmes and stronger collaboration between educational institutions and industry.

He noted that job fairs provide an effective interface between employers and aspiring professionals, enabling companies to identify skilled talent while offering youth direct access to career opportunities. Such initiatives, he said, contribute significantly to reducing unemployment and promoting inclusive economic growth in the Union Territory.

The Mega Job Fair witnessed participation from numerous employers, industry representatives and job seekers from different districts, providing candidates with opportunities to interact directly with recruiters and explore careers across multiple sectors.

The event forms part of the Jammu and Kashmir administration’s broader strategy to strengthen employment generation, enhance workforce readiness and empower the youth through skill development and industry partnerships.
