Kashmir Ahead

Vidash Joshi from Madhya Pradesh finally came to Amarnath after hearing about it from his father since his childhood. Aman Maurya along with brothers Ratnesha and Saurabh came from Ayodhya. The experience is excellent, and the Shrine Board and local authorities are doing a great job year after year. Roads have been widened and arrangements improved in several places; the Baltal route has also been widened. Many things are good, and progress is being made here every year. The arrangements for food and accommodation are excellent. The army personnel are helpful; if you ask anything, they treat you well. Everything is good. There is no specific wish in our minds; one simply hopes for a ‘darshan’—to catch a glimpse of the deity—to complete the journey, and to find peace of mind. That is all. You have to go trekking here; it calms the mind—something that isn’t possible by car, the pilgrim added.
