Srinagar, July 15,2026- The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra has achieved a historic milestone, with more than 3 lakh pilgrims offering prayers at the Holy Amarnath Cave Shrine within just 12 days of the annual pilgrimage, setting a new record and reflecting the growing enthusiasm among devotees from across the country.
The unprecedented turnout highlights the increasing faith and participation in one of India’s most revered spiritual journeys. Pilgrims from different states have been arriving in large numbers through both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes to pay obeisance at the naturally formed ice Shivling, revered as the holy manifestation of Lord Shiva.
The successful conduct of the Yatra has been made possible through extensive arrangements by the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB), the Jammu and Kashmir Administration, security agencies, healthcare teams, sanitation workers, volunteers, and various service providers. Comprehensive measures have been put in place to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage.
Facilities including RFID-based tracking, round-the-clock medical assistance, accommodation, community kitchens (langars), transport services, sanitation infrastructure, and robust security deployments have contributed to the smooth and hassle-free conduct of the Yatra. Pilgrims have widely appreciated the seamless management, improved infrastructure, and efficient coordination at the base camps and along the pilgrimage routes.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha congratulated all stakeholders involved in the successful conduct of the Yatra and appreciated the dedication of officials, security personnel, volunteers, healthcare workers, and service providers. He said their collective efforts have ensured a safe, smooth, and memorable pilgrimage experience for every devotee of Baba Barfani.
With several weeks of the pilgrimage still remaining, the administration continues to maintain high standards of safety, crowd management, and essential services to facilitate the steady influx of devotees.
