LG Manoj Sinha meets young BJP leader Sehar Khan, athlete Junaid Shafi

Srinagar, July 6,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday met Sehar Khan, a young BJP leader and International Affairs & United Nations Delegate from Jammu and Kashmir, who presented a comprehensive report on her recent participation in United Nations engagements and international dialogues focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

During the meeting, Sehar Khan briefed the Lieutenant Governor on key discussions, global policy deliberations, and recommendations emerging from the international forums. The report highlighted various initiatives and best practices aimed at advancing the Sustainable Development Goals and promoting inclusive development.

Later, Junaid Shafi, an athlete and youth activist from Shopian, also called on the Lieutenant Governor. He discussed several important issues related to strengthening efforts against drug abuse in the district and emphasized the need for greater awareness, youth engagement, and coordinated action to tackle the growing menace.

The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the initiatives and contributions of the young leaders and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to empowering youth and supporting efforts aimed at social development and building a drug-free society in Jammu and Kashmir.
