Jammu, June 28,2026- Security arrangements for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 have received a significant technological upgrade with the operationalisation of an Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Jammu. The state-of-the-art facility will serve as the central hub for surveillance and coordination, enhancing security for one of India’s largest annual pilgrimages.
The command centre has been established to enable seamless coordination among multiple security and civil agencies, allowing them to jointly monitor the pilgrimage route, base camps, and other strategically important locations in real time.
Officials said nearly 600 CCTV cameras have been installed across Jammu city and are being monitored round the clock from the Integrated Command and Control Centre. The advanced surveillance system is designed to provide continuous situational awareness, facilitate quick response to any security concerns, and ensure the smooth movement of pilgrims.
The technology-driven security infrastructure is expected to strengthen monitoring capabilities during the Yatra by integrating live feeds from various locations and enabling faster coordination between law enforcement and emergency response teams.
The enhanced surveillance measures are part of the comprehensive security and management plan for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026, aimed at ensuring a safe, secure, and hassle-free pilgrimage for thousands of devotees expected to visit the holy cave shrine.
