LG Manoj Sinha reviews Shri Amarnath ji Yatra 2026 preparations at Baltal

Baltal, June 28,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday reviewed the arrangements for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 at Yatri Niwas, Baltal, and directed officials to ensure comprehensive preparations for the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.

During the inspection, the Lieutenant Governor assessed the facilities being put in place for pilgrims, including accommodation, sanitation, healthcare, security, traffic management, and other essential services. He instructed all concerned departments to work in close coordination to provide devotees with a safe, comfortable, and hassle-free pilgrimage experience.

Emphasising the importance of efficient management, LG Manoj Sinha directed officials to ensure seamless pilgrim facilitation, robust safety and security measures, and the timely completion of all arrangements ahead of the commencement of the Yatra.

The review comes as preparations for the sacred pilgrimage have entered the final phase, with authorities intensifying efforts across both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes. Security agencies, civil administration, health services, disaster response teams, and other departments are working together to ensure foolproof arrangements for the thousands of devotees expected to undertake the annual pilgrimage.

The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, one of India’s most revered Hindu pilgrimages, is scheduled to begin on July 3, 2026. The administration has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety, convenience, and well-being of every pilgrim through coordinated planning and effective on-ground management.
