Yoga has many benefits, says student participant at Srinagar yoga event

Srinagar, June 21,2026- Highlighting the importance of yoga in daily life, a participant at a yoga event in Srinagar said that regular practice of yoga contributes significantly to physical health and overall well-being.

Speaking during the celebrations of the 12th International Yoga Day, the participant said, “Yoga has many benefits. It is very good for health and overall well-being. We practice yoga every day at school. It helps us stay fit, improves concentration, and keeps us active throughout the day.”

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, youth, and residents who gathered to perform various yoga asanas and breathing exercises. Participants emphasized that yoga not only strengthens the body but also helps reduce stress and promotes mental peace.

International Yoga Day is observed annually on June 21 and has become a global movement promoting healthy living and holistic wellness. Across Jammu and Kashmir, schools, colleges, sports institutions, and public organizations organized yoga sessions to spread awareness about the benefits of the ancient practice.

The student participant encouraged more young people to adopt yoga as part of their daily routine, saying that consistent practice can lead to a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.
