33 Hours to Mumbai: New Cherry Transport Initiative from Jammu
Last year, Jammu Mandal had loaded 14 parcel vans. In this season, already 28 parcel vans have been registered. Today, the first parcel van is being loaded from the Jammu Tawi station. This will got to Bandra in a time effectrive and cost effective manner. In 33 hours, the cherry boxes will reach Bandra, its destination. We have moved cherries through SLRs also. Around 18 tonnes of cherries have been moved through SLRs. The Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha has given full support to us and the ultimate benefit is coming to us, cherry farmers.
