Srinagar, June 11,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday attended the closing ceremony of the Alfa Hockey Inter-School Tournament 2026 and reiterated the administration’s commitment to empowering the youth of Jammu and Kashmir through enhanced opportunities, resources, and developmental initiatives.
Addressing participants, students, coaches, and sports enthusiasts, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized that sustained efforts are underway to create an enabling environment where young people can realize their full potential in sports, education, entrepreneurship, and other fields.
He highlighted the transformative role of sports in shaping character, promoting discipline, and fostering teamwork among youth. The LG said that the government is continuously investing in sports infrastructure, talent identification programmes, and training facilities to nurture the next generation of athletes and provide them with opportunities to excel at national and international levels.
