LG Manoj Sinha visits Mubarak Mandi, reviews situation after temple wall collapse

Jammu, June 8,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the historic Mubarak Mandi complex in Jammu following concerns arising from the recent collapse of a temple wall within the heritage precinct.

During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor conducted an on-site inspection to assess the situation and review the condition of the affected structure. He was accompanied by MLA Yudhvir Sethi, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Atal Dulloo, the Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation, and other senior officials from the administration.

The delegation inspected the damaged area and discussed measures required to ensure public safety, prevent further deterioration, and facilitate restoration work. Officials briefed the Lieutenant Governor on the circumstances surrounding the incident and the steps being taken to address the situation.

Mubarak Mandi, a prominent heritage complex in Jammu, holds significant historical and cultural importance. The visit underscored the administration’s commitment to preserving the region’s heritage structures while ensuring the safety of visitors and local residents.

The Lieutenant Governor directed officials to closely monitor the site and expedite necessary measures for restoration and conservation in accordance with heritage preservation norms.
