Kashmir, June 4,2026-In a moment of pride for Jammu & Kashmir, Wagoora Panchayat in Baramulla district has secured the 3rd position among nearly 2.5 lakh panchayats across the country in the prestigious National Panchayat Awards 2025. The achievement highlights the panchayat’s outstanding performance in grassroots governance, rural development, and public service delivery.

The National Panchayat Awards, presented by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, recognize exemplary work by local self-government institutions that have demonstrated excellence in areas such as sustainable development, citizen participation, transparency, sanitation, social welfare, and effective implementation of government schemes.
