Kashmir, May 27,2026-Amit Shah will chair a high-level Apex Committee meeting on the industrial promotion and development of Jammu and Kashmir in New Delhi on May 30.
The important meeting is expected to review the progress of industrial growth initiatives, investment proposals, infrastructure development, and policy implementation aimed at boosting economic activity in Jammu and Kashmir.
Manoj Sinha, the Jammu and Kashmir Industries and Commerce Minister, along with senior administrative and industrial development officials, are scheduled to attend the meeting.
The Apex Committee plays a key role in monitoring industrial promotion schemes and facilitating investments in Jammu and Kashmir. Discussions are likely to focus on attracting new investors, improving ease of doing business, strengthening industrial infrastructure, and generating employment opportunities for local youth.
Over the past few years, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed increased focus on industrial expansion, tourism infrastructure, connectivity projects, and private investment under various government initiatives.
Officials said the upcoming meeting will also assess ongoing industrial projects and future strategies for accelerating economic growth and development in the Union Territory.
