LG Manoj Sinha leads Anti-Drug Padyatra in Bandipora under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

Bandipora, May 25,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday led a massive anti-drug padyatra in Bandipora under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, urging people to come together for building a drug-free society.

The padyatra witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth, students, civil society members, volunteers, and local residents who joined the awareness march despite heavy rainfall in the district. Participants carried banners and placards spreading messages against drug abuse and promoting a healthy and safe society.

Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor stressed the importance of collective efforts in eliminating the menace of drugs and protecting the younger generation from substance abuse. He said the fight against narcotics requires active participation from every section of society, including families, educational institutions, community leaders, and law enforcement agencies.

The LG reiterated the administration’s commitment towards strengthening anti-drug initiatives across Jammu and Kashmir and highlighted the importance of awareness campaigns in combating narco-terrorism and addiction.

People participating in the padyatra expressed strong support for the 100 Days Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan and pledged to contribute towards making society free from drugs. The event also reflected growing public awareness and community involvement in the anti-drug movement across the Union Territory.

The padyatra formed part of a wider campaign being conducted across Jammu and Kashmir to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encourage youth to adopt healthy and constructive lifestyles.
