Shopian, May 23,2026- A large number of people, including women, youth, students, and civil society members, gathered at Bus Stand Shopian to participate in the anti-drug padyatra led by Manoj Sinha as part of the ongoing campaign against substance abuse in Jammu and Kashmir.
The padyatra witnessed enthusiastic participation from different sections of society, with people raising slogans promoting a drug-free society and encouraging the youth to stay away from narcotics. Participants carried placards and banners carrying messages such as “Say No to Drugs” and “Choose Education and Sports.”
The initiative aims to strengthen awareness regarding the harmful effects of drug addiction and mobilise public support for the vision of a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir. Officials, police personnel, students, and local residents joined the march in solidarity with the anti-drug movement.
The campaign highlighted the importance of collective community action in tackling drug abuse and guiding the younger generation towards education, sports, and positive activities.
