Ramban, May 15, 2026- Under the aegis of Jammu Sector CRPF, the 84 Battalion CRPF organised a four-day Inter Group Centre and Battalion Yoga Competition at Tactical Headquarters Boom, Ramban, from May 12 to 15, reinforcing the importance of physical fitness, mental well-being, and discipline among security personnel.
The event was conducted with the objective of promoting yoga as a way of life among CRPF personnel, encouraging holistic health practices that enhance both physical endurance and mental resilience. A total of seventeen teams from various battalions and group centres under the Jammu Sector participated in the competition, showcasing enthusiasm and commitment towards fitness-oriented training.
The competition witnessed active participation across multiple categories, highlighting the growing integration of yoga into the routine of security forces deployed in challenging terrains and operational environments.
Commandant 84 Bn CRPF N. Ranbir Singh emphasized the significance of yoga in strengthening operational efficiency and mental stability. He stated that yoga plays a vital role in improving mental clarity, focus, stress management, and overall well-being, especially for personnel serving in high-pressure and sensitive areas.
He further added that such initiatives not only enhance physical fitness but also contribute to building a more disciplined, resilient, and mentally prepared force capable of meeting diverse operational challenges.
The programme concluded with appreciation for all participating teams and a renewed commitment by CRPF to continue promoting wellness-driven initiatives across its formations.
