Historic 3-day Moungari mela 2026 begins at Shiv-Parvati Shrine in Udhampur

Udhampur, May 15,2026-The historic three-day Moungari Mela 2026, popularly known as the Shiv-Parvati Mela, is set to commence on May 15 at the revered Shiv-Parvati Shrine located at Sar Dabbar in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district. The annual religious festival is being organised with immense devotion and traditional fervour, drawing thousands of devotees and visitors from across Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of the country.

The mela holds deep religious and cultural significance for the local population and has been an integral part of the region’s spiritual heritage for generations. Devotees visit the sacred shrine to offer prayers to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, seeking blessings for peace, prosperity, and well-being.

Authorities and local administration have made elaborate arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the three-day event.
