Doda, May 9,2026- In a significant move to strengthen emergency healthcare services in the hilly district, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Krishan Lal flagged off two ambulances under a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at improving medical response in remote areas.
The ambulances have been donated by Jammu & Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited and Steel Authority of India Limited to enhance emergency healthcare access in Doda and Bhalla regions.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said the addition of the ambulances would significantly improve emergency medical transportation and ensure timely assistance for patients, particularly in accident-prone and far-flung areas where access to healthcare facilities remains a challenge.
He highlighted that the initiative reflects a strong commitment towards public welfare and healthcare support through CSR partnerships. The ambulances are expected to play a crucial role in saving lives by reducing delays in transporting critically ill and injured patients to hospitals.
Officials and healthcare representatives present during the flag-off ceremony appreciated the contribution of the corporations and reiterated the administration’s focus on strengthening healthcare infrastructure across the district.
The initiative is being seen as a major boost to emergency healthcare services in Doda, especially for residents living in remote and mountainous regions who often face difficulties in accessing immediate medical care.
