Doda, April 30, 2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday participated in a massive anti-drug awareness march in Doda, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to building a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir through community participation.

Addressing citizens during the “Drug-Free J&K” campaign, Sinha emphasized the power of grassroots movements in combating the growing menace of substance abuse. He joined locals, youth, and civil society members in a march that symbolized unity and collective resolve against drugs.

“Today in Doda, the Drug-Free J&K campaign demonstrated the strength of a genuine grassroots movement. I joined citizens in a march that reflected their determination and unity. The drug menace can be eliminated when communities rise together and speak with one voice,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, volunteers, and residents, highlighting increasing public awareness and engagement in the fight against narcotics. Authorities reiterated that coordinated efforts between law enforcement agencies and local communities are key to eradicating drug abuse from the region.

The “Drug-Free J&K” initiative is part of a broader strategy to curb substance abuse through awareness drives, strict enforcement of laws, and rehabilitation measures. The administration has been actively promoting youth engagement and community-led interventions to counter the spread of drugs.

Officials noted that such campaigns not only raise awareness but also encourage individuals to take collective responsibility in safeguarding society from the harmful effects of drug addiction.
