Jammu, April 29, 2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday launched the book Healer in Exile: The Untold Story of Dr. Sushil Razdan, authored by Sachin Razdan, highlighting the extraordinary life and contributions of renowned neurologist Dr. Sushil Razdan.

Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor described Dr. Razdan as one of India’s leading neurologists, whose contributions to the medical field have left an indelible mark. He emphasized that the book carries a powerful message of selfless service and dedication to humanity.

“The story of Dr. Sushil Razdan’s life conveys a significant lesson of committing yourself to the selfless service of others. It is a sacred duty to place the needs of the person before you above your own and view society as a community of responsibilities,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

Highlighting the essence of medical practice, he noted that what makes a doctor truly exceptional is not just clinical expertise, but compassion and a deep sense of service.

Referring to advancements in technology, the Lieutenant Governor said that while artificial intelligence can support diagnosis and treatment, it cannot replace the human touch in healthcare. “No instrument of AI can embody or substitute the essence of care with compassion,” he added.

He also spoke about the personal struggles of Dr. Razdan, particularly the pain of displacement faced by Kashmiri Pandits. Despite being uprooted from his homeland, Dr. Razdan remained committed to preserving his values and serving society with unwavering dedication.

“Dr. Sushil Razdan has touched millions of lives, ensuring with utter devotion that patients recover, nurture families, and contribute to nation-building,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

The book sheds light on Dr. Razdan’s journey, resilience, and lifelong service, offering inspiration to the medical fraternity and society at large.
