LG Manoj Sinha leads border growth in Rajouri

Rajouri, April 17,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday inaugurated several key development projects during his visit to Vibrant Village Sariah in the border district of Rajouri, reaffirming the government’s commitment to transforming remote areas into engines of growth.

Addressing a large public gathering, the LG underscored the strategic and cultural importance of border villages, stating that “a nation is defined by its remotest village—where our borders begin and our identity shines before the world.” He highlighted that these villages are no longer seen as the last outposts but as the first villages of India, reflecting a major policy shift in development thinking.

The Lieutenant Governor credited the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing renewed focus to border infrastructure, connectivity, and welfare. He noted that under this vision, border regions are witnessing rapid transformation through improved roads, electricity, healthcare, and digital access.

LG Sinha emphasized that the Vibrant Villages Programme is playing a pivotal role in bridging the gap between remote regions and the national mainstream. “Border areas are no longer the nation’s edge but its foremost opportunity,” he said, adding that sustained efforts are ensuring inclusive development and empowering local communities.

He further stated that enhanced connectivity and targeted initiatives have strengthened the socio-economic fabric of villages like Sariah, fostering new opportunities for youth, boosting livelihoods, and reinforcing national integration.

Local residents welcomed the development push, expressing optimism about improved living standards and better access to essential services.

The visit marks another step in the administration’s broader strategy to strengthen border infrastructure, promote sustainable development, and ensure that no region remains left behind in the journey of a New India.
