Kashmir, April 15,2026-Advance registration for the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 officially commenced on Tuesday across Jammu and various parts of India, marking the beginning of preparations for one of the country’s most significant Hindu pilgrimages.
Devotees have started registering at designated bank branches, including Punjab National Bank (PNB), where arrangements have been put in place to facilitate a smooth and organized registration process. Visuals from PNB’s Rethari branch in Jammu showed a steady turnout of pilgrims eager to secure their Yatra permits.
The 57-day-long Amarnath Yatra is scheduled to begin on July 3, 2026, and will conclude on August 28, 2026, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The pilgrimage will lead devotees to the sacred Amarnath Cave Shrine, located in the Himalayas, where the naturally formed ice Shivling is worshipped as a manifestation of Lord Shiva.
Authorities have emphasised the importance of early registration, medical fitness certificates, and adherence to safety guidelines to ensure a secure and seamless pilgrimage experience. Security arrangements, healthcare facilities, and logistical support are expected to be enhanced to accommodate the large number of pilgrims anticipated this year.
The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra remains a symbol of deep faith, devotion, and spiritual endurance, attracting lakhs of devotees from across India and abroad every year.
