PM RAHAT Awareness Drive gains momentum in Kishtwar

Kishtwar, April 5,2026- In a concerted effort to enhance public awareness about welfare initiatives, a widespread outreach campaign on PM RAHAT is currently underway across Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas. The initiative is being carried out under the directions of Transport Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan, with active involvement from the Municipal Council and the local Transport Union.

As part of the campaign, Municipal Council vehicles equipped with public address systems are moving through various localities, disseminating key information about PM RAHAT and its benefits. Special focus is being given to high-footfall areas such as the main बाजार and the Bus Stand, where commuters, drivers, and the general public are being sensitised about the scheme.

Officials stated that the objective of the drive is to ensure that maximum citizens, especially those associated with the transport sector, are made aware of PM RAHAT and can avail themselves of its benefits. The Transport Union has also joined hands in the effort, helping amplify the message among drivers, conductors, and daily commuters.

“The awareness campaign is aimed at reaching every section of society. Through coordinated efforts of civic bodies and transport stakeholders, we are ensuring that information about PM RAHAT reaches the grassroots level,” an official associated with the drive said.

Locals have welcomed the initiative, appreciating the use of mobile awareness vehicles and on-ground engagement, which makes the campaign more accessible and effective. Many residents noted that such efforts are crucial in bridging the information gap and ensuring that government schemes benefit the intended population.

Authorities have indicated that similar awareness campaigns will continue in the coming days to further strengthen outreach and participation. The initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and public welfare.
