Samba, March 30,2026- In a significant step towards strengthening women-led agriculture, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra Samba organised a one-day workshop to empower progressive farm women with knowledge of modern agricultural practices and allied sectors.
The programme was led by Prof. Sanjay Khajuria, who emphasized the importance of adopting innovative techniques to enhance farm productivity and sustainability. He highlighted agroforestry as a key approach to improving soil health, diversifying income sources, and ensuring long-term environmental balance.
During the workshop, participants were trained in scientific farming methods, integrated farming systems, and sustainable agricultural practices. Experts also shared insights into allied sectors such as horticulture, livestock management, and value addition, aiming to boost rural incomes and livelihood opportunities.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from farm women across the district, reflecting a growing interest in modern and sustainable agriculture. Officials noted that empowering women farmers plays a crucial role in transforming the rural economy and achieving inclusive development.
