Devotees flock to Darshani Deodi on second day of Chaitra Navratri despite rain and cold

Srinagar, March 20, 2026- Despite intermittent rain and chilly weather, devotees continued to throng the Darshani Deodi on the second day of Chaitra Navratri to offer prayers and seek blessings. Pilgrims from across the region visited the sacred site, demonstrating their devotion and faith amid adverse weather conditions.

Temple authorities reported a steady stream of devotees performing rituals and participating in traditional prayers. The management ensured that arrangements for shelter, safety, and social distancing were in place to accommodate large crowds during the festival.

Locals and visitors alike expressed enthusiasm over participating in the auspicious event, emphasizing the spiritual significance of Chaitra Navratri. The festival, dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga, continues for nine days, with devotees performing fasting, prayers, and various rituals.
