Jammu launches Veteran League Anti-Drug Cricket Tournament

Jammu,March 17,2026- In a significant initiative linking sports with social reform, the Samvedna Club on Tuesday unveiled jerseys for the Jammu Veteran League Anti-Drug Cricket Tournament at the iconic M.A. Stadium.

The tournament, scheduled to be held from March 18 to 31, 2026, aims to steer youth away from drug abuse by encouraging participation in sports and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Organizers said the initiative seeks to spread awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse while fostering community engagement through cricket.

The official tournament kit was unveiled by SP Jammu Rural Brijesh Sharma and SP Jammu South Ajay Sharma, who lauded the efforts of the organizers. They emphasized that sports can play a transformative role in shaping society and guiding young minds towards positive pursuits.
