J&K: Kathua Farmer Expands Strawberry Farming to 2.5 Acres, Sells 1 Lakh Packets We are working on strawberry farming since last five years. We started it from one acre and today we are doing it successfully in two-and-a-half acres, said a strawberry farmer Vikrant Sharma from Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir. We get a subsidy from the government at the rate of thirteen thousand per canal. And seven-eight women and seven-eight men from my village work together to cultivate this strawberry farm. I am planting approximately 70-80 thousand strawberry plants. The season will end by March 15. I have sold about one lakh packets in the market, said the farmer doing strawberry farming in Kathua, J&K.
