Kashmir, March 15,2026- Manoj Sinha on Sunday handed over an appointment letter on compassionate grounds to Shabeena Bashir, the wife of Javid Mansoor Rather, who lost his life in an accidental blast in Nowgam.
The constable was serving as a photographer in the Crime Branch of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and was martyred while performing his duties.
During the ceremony, the Lieutenant Governor expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and reiterated the administration’s commitment to supporting families of personnel who have made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
Manoj Sinha assured all possible assistance and support from the administration to the family and emphasized that the government stands firmly with the families of martyrs.
Officials said the compassionate appointment is part of the administration’s initiative to provide timely support and livelihood security to the families of government employees and security personnel who lose their lives while serving the nation in Jammu and Kashmir.
The gesture was widely appreciated as a step towards acknowledging the sacrifice of the fallen personnel and ensuring that their families receive the necessary support and dignity.
