LG Manoj Sinha distributes appointment letters to 50 terror victims families

Srinagar, March 15,2026- Manoj Sinha on Sunday handed over appointment letters to 50 next of kin (NoKs) of terror victims from the Kashmir division during a ceremony held at Lok Bhawan in Srinagar, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to justice and rehabilitation for families affected by terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor said the government remains determined to ensure that every terror victim’s family receives justice and support. He stated that appointment letters were also provided to the families of departed government employees, as part of the administration’s compassionate employment initiative.

“Handed over appointment letters to the families of terror victims and departed government employees. I am resolute in securing justice for every terror victim’s family and pending cases will be reopened to hold perpetrators accountable,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

He emphasized that the administration has made significant progress in addressing long-pending grievances of terror victim families. According to the Lieutenant Governor, efforts are being intensified to ensure that those responsible for acts of terror are brought to justice and that affected families receive due support.

Manoj Sinha further noted that around 400 next of kin of terror victims have already been provided employment opportunities under the government’s rehabilitation programme.

“We have succeeded in dispelling the shadow of injustice and ushering in a new dawn of justice at the doorsteps of terror victims’ families,” he said, adding that the administration will continue working relentlessly until every family awaiting assistance is covered.

The initiative is part of the broader effort by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to provide relief, recognition, and long-term support to families who lost their loved ones due to terrorism.

Officials present at the event reiterated that the administration will continue to review pending cases and expand welfare measures to ensure that affected families receive timely assistance and employment opportunities.
