To refine the youth power, a Youth Festival was held in Jammu. Jammu’s 15 centres have done commendable and important work for preparing the youth for competitive exams and giving necessary training. This is definitely a wonderful moment and I congratulate the district administration for this, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, addressing the Youth Festival 2023 in Jammu. In all the corners of Jammu and Kashmir, the way the children are being prepared for the future, it is very inspirational. This campaign is going to assure the nation that a sixty-five percent dynamic army of the youth will not only secure the future of Jammu and Kashmir but make a unique contribution in the golden moments of India’s future. I am getting messages from all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir that almost everyday a Rozgaar Mela, Apprentice Mela and camps for Self Employment are being organised. The biggest thing is that our youth are actively participating in these programmes, LG remarked. In the arena of sports, with a view to giving due place to their talents, through My Youth, My Pride University Athletic Championship and LG Rolling Trophy, in lakhs the power of the youth is being given a new direction. The number may surprise you that around 50 lakh students in Jammu and Kashmir have been given the chance to play sports. In the LG Rolling Cup Trophy, J&K’s 42,000 youth participated. The statistics reflect our commitment to utilise the organised energy of the youth to build Jammu and Kashmir’s future, said the Lieutenant Governor. Today, the youth of Jammu and Kashmir with positive thinking and enthusiasm are moving forward in life because the roads are open and various career options are available. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the last three years, around 30,000 government jobs have been given and we have achieved success in making six lakh youth become entrepreneurs.
