Srinagar, March 6,2026 – Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir emphasized that agriculture holds immense potential for new startups, value-addition, and entrepreneurship in the Union Territory. Speaking at a recent event, the CM highlighted the opportunities for youth and entrepreneurs to leverage the agricultural sector to generate employment and boost the local economy.
The CM noted that with proper investment, innovation, and adoption of modern technologies, agriculture can become a key driver of economic growth in J&K. He encouraged startups to explore areas such as food processing, organic farming, agri-tech solutions, and value-added agricultural products.
Authorities emphasized that initiatives are underway to support entrepreneurs through financial assistance, skill development programs, and infrastructure support to maximize the potential of the sector. The move is aimed at promoting self-employment, enhancing productivity, and creating sustainable income sources for rural communities.
