Kashmir’s Awantipora Class VII National Qwan Ki Do Champion Boy to Target World Stage Naiel-Ud-Din, a student of Class VII from DPS Anantnag, Awantipora, Jammu & Kashmir. Recently, Naiel-ud-Din, the young martial artist from Awantipora, South Kashmir, achieved significant success at the 7th National Qwan Ki Do Championship in Jammu (Jan 2026), winning both Gold and Bronze medals. A student of Class VII and part of the Gindoo Fighters Club, he was selected to represent India at the International Qwan Ki Do Championship in Romania. Naiel-ud-Din expressed his gratitude for his coach, family members and Allah for supporting him. And it is only because of Allah that he has brought me to this position today. In 2020 an academy started near my home. I went there and saw how participants played and told my mother about it. Thereafter I got admission there and my practice has been going on ever since. I have a fixed schedule for my studies and sports as well. I have allocated time for my friends and others as well. I am giving time to all and managing it and am giving my best and my future is turning out best with the grace of Allah. Sports is necessary along with education as it keeps our mind sharp and our fitness intact and keeps us away from diseases. I secured gold and bronze medals in the 7th National Qwan Ki Do Championship held at Bhagwati Nagar Indoor Stadium, Jammu, which featured over 800 participants from 28 states. I got a huge support from my family. My mother has played an exceptional role in encouraging me. When I come home in the eveningshe sits with me and keeps motivating me. My mother advises me that I can do this and that, and she always says, Insha Allah you will achieve a lot when you grow up. Right now my goal is to represent my country internationally in my game and achieve a good position. When I joined the Academy, there was a district championship in Anantnag and I won a gold medal in Wu Shu. I have played in many competions and sometimes won gold, sometimes silver and sometimes bronze medals and many certificates. I was fecilitated by the Awantipora CRPF Commandant after winning gold in State championship. He had called me to his camp. I want to play many games championships. I want to fetch gold in international championships too. Now I am young and I have a far way to go. My family members welcomed and celebrated my gold moment in a special way. Naiel-ud-Din’s maternal aunt Tabassum said they always encouraged him from the start. We have not not stopped him for doing anything. They believed that he could do many things. Now that he is going to represent India at the international level at Qwan Ki Do Championship games is a proud moment for the whole of India. Naiel-ud-Din did not go outside to play so to maintain physical fitness we got him enrolled in an academy. He has been practicing hard here. The aunt mentioned that to play internationally some assistance would be required from the government. She requested the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha to look into the matter and provide financial support so that Naiel-ud-Din’s sports journey becomes smooth.
