Kashmir, January 25,2026-Lieutenant Governor on Friday said that Uttar Pradesh binds India across all directions, highlighting the state’s unparalleled cultural, spiritual, and civilisational legacy at a Foundation Day समारोह held here.
Addressing the gathering, the LG said Uttar Pradesh has been the spiritual heartland of India, nurturing timeless traditions, philosophies and movements that have shaped the nation’s identity. From Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura to centres of learning and reform, the state has continuously guided India’s moral and cultural compass.
The LG noted that Uttar Pradesh has produced legendary saints, scholars, freedom fighters and leaders whose contributions resonate across the country. Emphasising unity in diversity, he said the state’s rich heritage connects north, south, east and west, making it a living symbol of national integration.
He also lauded the state’s progress in infrastructure, governance, tourism and cultural revival, stating that development rooted in heritage is strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s role in India’s growth story. The Foundation Day celebrations, he added, are an opportunity to renew commitment to preserving traditions while embracing innovation.
The event witnessed cultural performances, exhibitions and participation from dignitaries, scholars and citizens, celebrating Uttar Pradesh’s enduring legacy.
