Kathua , January 22,2026-As part of the ongoing National Pride – Vande Mataram Campaign, the District Administration Kathua organised a grand Vishal Torch Rally at the Sports Stadium Kathua, witnessing massive public participation and an overwhelming display of patriotism and national unity.
Thousands of students, government employees and civil society members gathered in unison to reaffirm their commitment to the nation. Holding torches aloft, participants marched a complete lap of the stadium while collectively chanting “Vande Mataram,” turning the venue into a powerful symbol of national fervour and unity.
The rally was led by Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma, accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Vishavjeet Singh, senior district officers and officials. The active leadership of the district administration lent added significance to the event and underscored the spirit of collective responsibility towards upholding constitutional values and national ideals.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the enthusiastic public response and stated that such large-scale outreach initiatives play a crucial role in fostering patriotism, unity and constitutional awareness, especially among the youth.
